Walks
The Society in conjunction with Highclere Parish Council have now published three walks leaflets (end of 2012). They are:
- No. 1 - a 4 mile walk to Hollington Lane and Highclere Street. Download leaflet (PDF: 560Kb)
- No. 2 - a 1.5 mile walk in the area to the south west of the village. Download leaflet (PDF: 1.7Mb)
- No. 3 - a 5 mile walk going both to the north west and south west of the village. Download leaflet (PDF: 1.7Mb)
Note - if viewing in Adobe, you may have to rotate view. All walks are circular, starting and ending at The Red House pub.
There are many excellent walks around Highclere through a variety of scenery - quiet country lanes, woodland, fields and open vistas on the chalk downland. The walks group of the Society continues to explore our readers favourite walks in the locality and share them with others.
